This book is exactly what I needed. So far it's been very helpful. The front of the book, section 1, has a very short describing idea with the according flower (ex. Forbearance> Tamarind) AND THEN in the back, section 2, it lists each flower that is in the book individually and expands on the meaning that was listed in section 1 (ex. Tamarind> faithfulness, durability, forbearance)/5(). I haven’t read any yet, as I’ve just started my flower-growing journey, but these books are a good place to start! My sister of the heart is an avid gardener and she fell in love with the book s: 25 Beautiful Old Flower Books. Beautiful Wild Flowers of America Rev. A.B. Most gardeners in North America will find that this book lacks many of the perennial flowers we commonly use. The plant descriptions are short lacking information on the zones where these plants thrive, size, and other specific details/5(3). My flowers. , likes 1,, talking about this. Flower Quotes “Love is the flower you’ve got to let grow.” – John Lennon “A flower cannot blossom without sunshine, and man cannot live without love.” – Max “Life is the flower for which love is the honey.” – Victor Hugo “If I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden.”. These plants grow up to 3 feet tall, and the spikes have flowers that range in color from red to blue to white, and they have single or double flowers. The plants are great for cut arrangements, but use caution with the seeds as they are poisonous.
